If you wanna read the thread for yourself, click here but I'm gonna post the comment and my reply in this entry so you don't have to sort through the other ten comments and figure out what the heck I'm talking about.
My first comment:
Subject: Have you seen the other movies in the Trilogy?
Chasing Amy was meant to be a great movie. Jay and Silent Bob wasn't meant to be a great movie. That's why it wasn't...Sorry, just my two cents.
The response from rachelkay:
Subject: Your grade-school teacher attacks!
Trilogy: derived from the Greek word tri-, meaning three
Three sets of dramas, literary works, or musical compositions that are closely related. A group of three in the same theme.
Movies In This Set: 5
Ding! And the peasants rejoice.
My response to that:
The three movies in the New Jersey Trilogy are Clerks, Mall Rats, and Chasing Amy.
Dogma isn't in the trilogy; aside from Jay and Silent Bob (who are the only thing that ties all the movies together) there are no other characters that cross-over, unlike in Mall Rats, Chasing Amy, and Clerks where character cross-over and are mentioned in at least two or all three movies.
And the first three were called a trilogy since before the other two were made: Click here.
Ahem. I rest my case.
