I'm almost done with Proverbs...

"Such is the end of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the lives of those who get it." ~1:19

"Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act." ~3:27

"Hatred stirs up dissention, but love covers over all wrongs." ~10:12

"One man gives freely, yet gains even more." ~11:24

"Better to be a nobody and yet have a servant, than pretend to be somebody and have no food." ~12:9

"...the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel." ~12:10

"An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up." ~12:25

"Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." ~13:12

"Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy." ~14:10

"Better a meal of vegetables where there is love, than a fatted calf where there is hatred." ~15:17

"Many are the plans in a man's heart. But it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." ~19:21

for us college students...and everyone else...this one made me laugh!
"Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake and you will have food to spare." ~20:13

"There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord." ~21:30

"Do not wear yourself out to get rich." ~23:4

And one of my favorites:
"There are three things that are too amazing for me, four that I do not understand:
the way of an eagle in the sky,
the way of a snake in a rock,
the way of a ship on the high seas,
and the way of a man with a maiden." ~30:18-19
