My Big News At Work!
So way back when I first talked to Ben about coming back to work at Party City I mentioned getting a raise and he said he'd look into it. So today at work I was filling out my paperwork and I said, "You know, you said something about looking into a raise for me," and he said, "Yeah, I did. No, I didn't." And then he said that he wasn't going to ask because they would just tell him that I'm part time and that I'm not there all year round, and so instead he would just give me one. He went on to say that he thinks I'm the best employee he's got and that I'm worth it and if I weren't going to school I'd be here full time, I'd be a manager, I'd be doing whatever I wanted with the company, and so he'd just give me a raise and if he got in trouble then he'd deal with it. "How much are you making now, $7 an hour? I'll give you 8."
(*insert me standing here gawking*)
Wow, was I excited. I practically hugged him, and I had a huge desire to call everyone I know, but I didn't.
Boston Creme Pie
So to celebrate Troy took me out to Baker's Square to get a Boston Creme Pie cause the last time I had one was like 2 years ago cause now it's a "pie of the month" only like twice a year. So we went to one and they didn't have it, even though we called two days ago and they said they did. So then we called like four other ones and the one in Canton had it. So we finally got to get it...and it turns out I had it on a pedestal. I mean, it was good, but it wasn't the best pie on the face of the planet or anything. And then we listened to the funniest comedian--Mike Birbiglia. I found him highly amusing.
I'm So Dumb
So I got a bill from CURF for an additional 200 bucks and it said it was from my phone bill, and I couldn't figure out how it could be so high, and it took like three days to be able to access it online (no more hard copies, CURF is saving a fortune on paper, I tell ya) and apparently I called Chris for 46 minutes one night without using my calling card from the dorm phone at a rate of THREE DOLLARS AND FOURTEEN CENTS A MINUTE! Oh-my-God. What the heck? I knew I called him once or twice from my phone, and I knew it would be more than the calling card, but I didn't think it would be more than a dollar...no, it's a dollar times PI! So for those of you who don't want to do the math, one call cost me $144.44. Help! Why did I do this? I don't remember doing this. I really don't think I would have called for that long without using a card. But apparently I'm braindead. And how do I fight this? I can't, I must have done it. And it was a stupid Tuesday, I don't even have the excuse of being drunk. (Not that it would be a good excuse, but I think I'd rather be drunk than THAT STUPID.) So anyway...

And two of my favorite sitcoms are coming out on DVD soon...Who's the Boss, and Punky Brewster. The description for PB at IMDB.com is as follows:
Punky Brewster: Season One
23 episodes of Soleil Moon Frye cuteness. One person's heaven, another person's hell.
I found that funny.
